DiMari Bailey spent a year in Norway at a folk high school near the Arctic Circle before returning the US to finish her degree in History. After completing her studies that included Russian and Norwegian languages and literature, she returned to Norway where she spent many years living and working in Oslo. She worked for years in the book business but also taught English as a second language to adults and Norwegian as a second language to immigrant children, working closely with children and parents from Vietnam, Chile, and Turkey.
After returning to the United States, she earned an advanced degree in Education and worked in the education industry as a program manager for many years. She is now devoting her time to writing, translating, and teaching.
